Do you have questions about voting?

Our League has developed a new brochure to answer many questions that first-time voters have -- When do we vote? How do I register? Where do I vote? What can I use for a voter ID? If you have family or friends with questions about voting, help them out!

The brochure also helps out new students going away to college. They can request a mailed ballot based on their permanent address to be mailed anywhere they end up during the semester. Or, they can vote at the polling place associated with their college address.

The League of Women Voters of Winnebago County is a local organization supported by counterparts at the state and national level. Are you registered? Do you know where to vote?  To find information about voter registration, absentee ballots, and general information about local and national elections, please visit the Voter Information webpage.

"Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this county."
